Around thirty amazing volunteers traveled with Healing the Children New Jersey to the Roberto Gilbert Children’s Hospital in Guayaquil, Ecuador to provide complex urological surgeries on children for free. The talented team included PUA's very own, Dr. Ronnie Fine, Dr. Steven Friedman and was led by Dr. Richard Schlussel, who worked tirelessly with the team to improve the lives of forty children and their families. “After a two-and-a-half year pause to the Medical Teams Abroad Program due to the pandemic this was an especially uplifting trip,” said Dr. Schlussel.
