Carlos Medina

Dr. Medina has been in and around the New York metropolitan area his entire life. He grew up on Long Island, and during high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served for four years on active duty as an infantryman. He left active service and attended Columbia University where he majored in philosophy and history.

 

While studying the history of American medicine and medical ethics in college he fell in love with the idea of pursuing a career in medicine. He then attended Cornell University Medical College where he decided to become a urologist and went on to train in urology at the University of Connecticut.

 

During his time in residency he had the opportunity to train at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and was moved to dedicate his career to pediatric urology. Since that time, Dr. Medina has had a varied career from being a faculty member at New York Presbyterian/Cornell to being the Chief of Urology at Connecticut Children’s. He now looks forward to returning home and providing top notch urologic care to your patients.
